Startup Associate Member Program
 

The purpose of the Startup Associate Member (SAM) Program is to encourage immediate, active participation in COVESA technical and business activities by startup companies as they develop their first products. Eligibility for the program is summarized in the below table.

Have or have plans to develop a demonstrable prototype or proof-of-concept that could have application in connected vehicle contexts

Start-up Associate Member PLUS

 

Annual Fee:

$5,000

Equivalent of 13-50 Employees

Engaged in a business relationship with a sponsoring Charter or Core member OR a sponsored by a COVESA-recognized Start-up Liaison Partner (e.g., Plug and Play)

Legal entity licensed to do business in its applicable state or country

Have or have plans to develop a demonstrable prototype or proof-of-concept that could have application in connected vehicle contexts

 

 

Startup Associate Members have the following rights and privileges:

  • Right to participate as a voting member in groups/projects

  • Eligible to attend All Member Meetings (2 free passes)

  • Pre-release access to candidate specifications

  • Eligible to participate in COVESA-sponsored marketing programs (limited size)

  • Right to propose a new, COVESA-hosted open project

  • Eligible to co-present COVESA-sponsored webinars or co-author whitepapers or technical briefs

  • Logo listed on the COVESA website

  • Eligible to receive communications about alliance activities and plans

  • Eligible to participate in COVESA showcase events

  • Eligible to access the member wiki and email distribution lists

  • Eligible for COVESA-negotiated event sponsorship and registration discounts

 

Please complete the following steps to obtain a Startup Associate Membership:

  1. Secure a mentoring organization that is a Charter or Core member of COVESA (or alternatively, a COVESA-recognized startup incubator).

  2. The mentoring COVESA member should send an email to Mike Nunnery, with the startup organization's name and primary contact person, indicating the member's willingness to mentor the startup organization.

  3. Complete the online Membership Application by selecting Associate member as the member type).

  4. Complete the COVESA Alliance Participation Agreement (Startup Associate Member)

  5. Email the completed Participant Agreement to COVESA Member Services at help@covesa.global

  6. Upon receipt of the invoice for membership, pay the annual fee by check, credit card, or wire transfer (additional bank fees apply). Further information will be provided on the membership invoice. Any questions concerning your membership may be directed to Mike Nunnery or help@covesa.global.
